Assistive technologies
Our website is optimised for use with assistive technologies like screen readers, magnifiers, navigation switches and speech recognition software.
Browsers and devices
Our website works with modern web browsers and uses a responsive design that automatically adjusts to fit the size and type of device being used to access it, for example smartphone, tablet or desktop.
The 3D experience has been optimised to work on older devices, using a scaled back version with less special effects in order to produce an enjoyable and consistent experience.
HTML first
We provide content in HTML format whenever possible and follow best practices as set out by relevant organisations such as W3C, WCAG and the Australian government.
Virtual office
The 3D office keeps the HTML version of the page available to assistive technology. It is visually clipped once the scene is running, and it is not removed with display:none.
A Menu button opens the virtual office menu. The M key does the same thing, and Escape closes the menu. From there you can move between Worlds, The Studio, What We Do, About Us, Support Us, the blog wall, and the pet portraits. From the blog wall, the same menu lists posts.
Zoom the 3D scene with the Scene zoom slider, the plus and minus keys, the mouse wheel, or a pinch gesture. Zoom runs from 100% to 250%. Once zoomed in, the arrow keys or a one-finger drag pan across that view, and a two-finger drag pans while pinching. A move to another place recenters it. Ctrl plus the mouse wheel still uses the browser's own zoom. The menu lists these keys along its bottom edge.
